Mango
Graded by broad varieties (as many as 28 are available though) and three sizes. Rajapuri, Totapuri and other lesser-known varieties used generally for pickle making. Medium and small size kesar varieties being converted to mango pulp for the last two years on contract basis. During mango season, all Federation members sit together daily compulsorily during 8-10 p.m. to review daily situation and evolve stategies.
Langra and Dasheri varieties generally sold in Delhi and Rajasthan. Only largest size kesar varieties (about 52% ) usually sold in fresh form in Saurashtra region. All products sold together under the umbrella of their Federation. pulp is sold under a common brand name called 'Amidhara'. Farmers paid instantly 75% of announced price, while the rest is adjusted at the end of the years (within a month's time as per the mango season). Society has cornered so far 50% share of the local market and has started paying higher incentive prices for large sizes and better varieties. Society charges less commission as compared to Private Traders and also its prices are less volatie.
Paddy Sold through Taluka Union and variety-wise price are paid.
Banana Small quantities brought by farmers sold in local markets.
